How do I locate electronic newspaper articles?

Newspaper articles do not appear in your results lists in OneSearch. To locate newspaper articles, you will need to use the Newspaper search in OneSearch or navigate to a newspaper database.

Finding News Articles in OneSearch

  1.  Go to OneSearch
     
  2. Click on Newspapers option above the search box

  3. Type the article title or your keywords into the search box.

  4. Be sure to sign in to receive complete results and to have ease of article access later.
    UC Students, Staff, and Authorized Affiliates may sign in for complete results and to request items. Sign in button highlighted.
     
  5. Use the filters under 'tweak your results', such as Sort by, Publication Date, and Journal Title, to facilitate finding the best possible article for you.
     
  6. Click Available Online

  7. Select the option that lists the date range best for your item and that is on your preferred platform.

If you're looking for a specific article in a specific newspaper, you may want to locate the newspaper first through the Journal search and then search for the article.
