What is OneSearch and how do I use it?

Answer

OneSearch a simple search that quickly connects you to a wide variety of library resources. Since this is new, you may notice slight changes as we continue to improve the interface.

View the OneSearch tutorial or follow these steps to get started with your search:

  1. Start on the library's homepage or go directly to the OneSearch page
  2. Narrow your results list. You can narrow results by:
    1. article, book or media type
    2. date
    3. peer-reviewed and more...
  3. Use Quick Links for items that you're interested in using. Quick Links allows you to:
    1. email the record
    2. look at related research
    3. build a citation
  4. Click on the title of the item to learn more about it.
  5. Get the item if it's available online. You can get it from the item's page or the results page. Be prepared to login with your UC username/password and DUO.
  6. Request the item from another library. If the library has a copy of the item, you can check to see if it's available and where.
