What’s a typical Writing & Study Skills session like?

Our sessions are one-on-one consultations, personalized to you and where you are in the writing process. Every session is different, but they often begin with a conversation about your goals for the session; usually, we review the prompt or assignment information. Then we’ll read your work out loud and discuss its strengths and weaknesses, as well as strategies for revision. Sessions can also include brainstorming, outlining, or implementing MLA or APA citations.
